Hey there!

Welcome to Gregg’s blog! Let me introduce myself…

My name is Gregg. I started this blog to gain popularity for my book, Only Time Will Tell, and myself as well. I started writing this book in early 2023 and published it in October of 2024. Here is where it gets weird. I didn’t write the book for any reason. I started writing it because I was unemployed and had nothing to do. I originally wanted to make this a short story, but I just couldn’t stop writing.

As I kept writing, more and more ideas popped into my head. Instead of the 10-15 pages I wanted, I wound up writing over 100 pages. So instead of a short story, it became a short novel. I never thought that the story would be this long, but it pretty much just wrote itself. After I published the book on Amazon, approximately 150 books were sold within 3 months. It’s not “author level” sales, but it’s better than nothing.

After seeing how many books were being sold, I spoke with my editorial team and they had the idea to pitch the book to movie production companies. I reached out to 7 different companies, but none were interested. After no success, I just gave up on that idea. My team and I had a meeting where we discussed what the next thing to do was. After about 3 hours, we came up with nothing.

The next day, an idea popped into my head and I was satisfied with what I had come up with. The idea was to try and write another book. But I couldn’t come up with anything to write. I was focused on trying to write a book with a similar style of writing. I thought of so many different ideas, but none of them stuck. I even thought about writing a sequel. There were so many things that I could take from Only Time Will Tell to write about. Nothing I could think of would be able to be long enough to satisfy myself nor my team.

However, I now have a few ‘new book ideas’ that I am currently working on. If you have any ideas for new books, comment down below and if I pick yours, maybe, just maybe, the next book will say, “By Greggory Stone & Your Name” I hope that the new book(s) are successful! ‘Till next time… Have a nice day!

Hi Gregg, I was intrigued by your post when you mentioned the reason for starting the blog. Coincidentally, I have somewhat similar reason for my blog too though I have just started my book and at a very initial stage. It’s kind of an autobiography in a form of a journal. I am hoping to complete it this year and probably be able to publish it by 2027. So, as a suggestion you could do something similar for your next book. We always find a lot of stories in our own life. 😊

Thank you so much for sharing this tip! The way you explained it made everything click into place, and I feel much more confident moving forward. I especially appreciate that you took the time to break it down so clearly. It’s not often that someone shares their knowledge so generously, and it really means a lot to me. I’ve already started thinking about how I can apply this to my current project, and I’m excited to see the results. This is exactly the kind of guidance I was looking for, and I’m grateful that you were willing to help. Thanks again for your expertise and for being so supportive. It’s people like you who make learning and growing in this space so much more enjoyable!
