Week Six

I seem to be in a predicament with my new book. The story that I am working on is getting harder to write. I can’t decide which story idea to follow, leading to an overwhelming sense of confusion. On one hand, I am drawn to writing something modern, akin to the emotionally charged narratives found in my novel Only Time Will Tell, where relationships and personal growth drive the plot. On the other hand, I find myself captivated by the allure of crafting a futuristic narrative, where technology and unforeseen developments shape the characters’ journeys, presenting a vast canvas of possibilities that could potentially enhance the storyline. With each passing day, the weight of my indecision becomes heavier, leaving me yearning for clarity and direction in my writing process.

I also had a brief thought of writing something similar to Mad Libs. In this hypothetical book, I would write a story and leave blank spots for the reader to fill out with their own creative choices, such as names, places, and events. But, not a lot of them. There would be about 2 or 3 per page. Each blank would encourage the reader to personalize the narrative, allowing for a unique experience that reflects their imagination. Once they have filled the spots, the book would be transformed into a one-of-a-kind story, ready to be read and enjoyed. But, I don’t think that something like that could work for me.

The current plan is to write an idea involving an A.I. interface, which has sparked my imagination and inspired a multitude of concepts. I don’t know how long the book will be or how long it will take me to write it, as I want to ensure that I take the necessary time to develop the story and its characters thoroughly, creating an engaging narrative that resonates with readers. I will keep you guys updated each week with my posts, sharing snippets and insights into the writing process, and will eventually announce release date(s) once I have a clearer timeline in mind. They are subject to change due to the typically unpredictable nature of writing, but I will try to keep one date as my goal, ensuring that you all will have something to look forward to as I embark on this exciting journey.

‘Till next time!
